Streamlight (1st) has a bluish hue to it over the x300 (2nd), and a much more crisp halo. I cant tell a difference between brightness between them (only 10 lumens according to the spec sheets). Indoors I find the blue hue of the TLR is easier on the eye when it comes on in a dark room. Outdoors both of the lights are pretty much even and light up a good area.
